NOVEL TECHNOLOGY

System performance resources such as Time, Clock Speed, Cache Space and IO Bandwidth contribute to how quickly a software entity runs and at what energy level. Allocating more resources than needed results in higher energy consumption and overall system inefficiency while insufficient resources may endanger the correct operation of the system. VirtualMetrix adaptive resource allocation algorithms ensure that each software entity receives sufficient but minimum performance resources to operate correctly so more software can share the CPU (higher utilization) and a lowest energy (power integrated over time) level.

ABOUT US

VirtualMetrix, a software and IP company, was founded in 2005 to develop performance and power management solutions for embedded applications emphasizing lower energy consumption, higher efficiency and performance isolation for applications sharing one or more processors.

VirtualMetrix's Operating System enhancing technology allows developers to create energy-efficient systems and applications and to ensure performance resources are allocated such that the software will operate correctly under any load conditions. It also provides for logic isolation (security), high-availability and real-time support.

VirtualMetrix provides customers with longer battery life for portable devices, higher efficiency (more applications sharing a processor(s)), configurable security levels, real-time support with automatic deadline guarantees and high-availability.

OUR PRODUCT

The VMX OS enhancing Framework consists of a series of tools and libraries embedded with the resident Operating System and a Developer's Toolkit. It has been ported to the Linux 2.6.x kernel to create a performance-managed Linux platform with extended real-time and security/high-availability features. An Android version will be available soon.
